Marie Thompson Harwell

Mrs. Harwell was born and reared in the Roby Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Elbert Vince and Nora Lee England Johnson. She went to school in Chester County and in 1946 married Edd Thompson. They made their home in the Center Point community of Chester County all of their married live, where they both worked on the family farm. Mr. Thompson passed away in 1981. Mrs. Marie married Paul Harwell in 1987 and Mr. Harwell passed away in 2000. Mrs. Marie had lived at the Southern Oaks Assisted Living in Henderson for the pasted six years. Mrs. Marie was in the Home Decoration Club and she loved to do needlework and gardening.



She is survived by a son Van Thompson of Memphis, TN and a daughter Judy Bivens of Galatin, TN; two grandchildren Blake Bivens and wife Angie, Jenna Slocum and husband Keith; four great grandchildren, Callaham and Adler Slocum, Lucas and Liam Bivens, also by two sister-n-laws Elizabeth Thompson and Barbara Johnson.



She was also preceded in death by two brothers Terry Ray Johnson and Clifford Johnson.
