Marie Gibbs Flatt

Marie Gibbs Flatt departed this life at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee on November 7, 2014 at the age of 90 Years, 5 Months, 28 Days. She was born on May 10, 1924, daughter to the late Claude and Elsie Ratliff Gibbs.

She was united in marriage to Marvin Lee Flatt on April 12, 1947, who preceded her in death on February 25, 1995.

Mrs. Gibbs worked as a Seamstress for Harwood Manufacturing and River Heights Manufacturing. She loved to be outside and work in her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved to cook and sew and take care of her family. She was also a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church. Her family will always remember her for her beautiful smile.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Jean Arnold of Adamsville, Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Chad and Corey Arnold of Nashville, Tennessee.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Melissa Grisham.
