Marie Lissie Pipkin Duncan, 90, of Bolivar, died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Bolivar General Hospital.



The widow of James Thomas Duncan, she was a homemaker. She was born October 23, 1916 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Nead Frances Pipkin and Emma Sisco Pipkin and lived here all of her life. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.



Survivors include five daughters, Eunice Frances Cook of Collierville; Ozell Shields of Hornsby; Dorothy Clark of Jackson; Ruby Onder of Huntsville, Ala. and Clara Taylor of Bolivar; three sons, James Duncan of Bolivar; Dennis Duncan of Middleton and Ronald Duncan of Bolivar; a sister, Bessie Lambert of Pocahontas; 21 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.



In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Grady Lee Duncan, three brothers, Malvin, Gilbert and Carnie Pipkin; five sisters, Cradie Hannis, Thelma Shields, Vadine Shields, Irene Moore and Ida Mae Pipkin.
