MARIE-ANNE TRUEwas born in McNairy County on November 10, 1948 the daughter of Laverne T. and Anna Desoi Pettigrew.Ms. True was a retired L.P.N. She was a United States Army Veteran. Ms. True was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved cats and dogs, crosstich and crafts. Ms. True loved to read and loved her grandchildren.She departed this life on October 16, 2007 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 6 days.Ms. True is survived by her life partner, Bob Rees of Savannah, Tennessee.2 daughters, Erika Battles and her husband Tony of Parsons, Tennessee and Heather Burton and her husband Rodney of Flaherty, Kentucky.5 grandchildren, Angelika True, Jason True, Tonjia Burton, Kristin Burton and Rodney Burton, Jr.her parents, Laverne T. and Anna Pettigrew of Savannah, Tennessee2 sisters, Ursula Patterson and her husband Brian of Albertville, Alabama and Monica Hunt and her husband Bart of Florence, Alabama.one brother, Michael Pettigrew of Savannah, TennesseeAnd a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
