Marguerite Rasbury

Funeral services for Marguerite Gray Rasbury, age 93, of Waynesboro, will be One p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Shackelford Chapel in Waynesboro with Marvin Champion officiating. Interment following in Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Pallbearers are Gene Helton, Allen Barnett, Rick Barnett, Jimmy Dixon, John Richard Stegall, and Jeter Steele. Honorary pallbearers are her Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.



Mrs. Rasbury, a native of Waynesboro, died Thursday, June 22, 2006 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marcella Belew Gray and her husband, Landon C. Rasbury; a sister, Elizabeth Gray Hurst; and a brother, Warren Gray. Mrs. Rasbury was a retired school teacher and homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro and Retired Teachers Association.



She is survived by nieces, Jerry Hurst Roberts of Birmingham, AL and Margaret Rasbury Graves of Ft. Worth, TX; a nephew, Gene Gray Hurst of Birmingham, AL. She also has a special friend, Karen Kelley Houser of Lawrenceburg, TN.
