Mrs. Cox died Sunday afternoon at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.
The widow of Luke Cox, she was a homemaker. She was born in Jackson and lived most of her life in Hardeman County. She enjoyed gardening with her husband and was known for canning the produce grown there. Mrs. Cox was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Betty Butler of Jackson; six grandchildren, Randy, Danny and Kenny Farris, Tim, Tommie and Trent Cox; 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Faye Farris, a son, Roy Thomas Cox and a brother, Bob Brown.
