Margaret Adene Montgomery

Margaret Adene Johnson Montgomery of Lutts, TN was born May 6, 1927 in Lutts, TN, the daughter of the late David (Dave) Andrew and Edna Florence Hill Johnson. She was united in marriage to Erman L. B. Montgomery on May 15, 1943 and he preceded her in death on January 23, 1984.

Mrs. Montgomery was a homemaker and a member of the Second Creek Church of Christ, Savannah, Tennessee.

Mrs. Montgomery departed this life on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Genesis Healthcare, Glenwood Center, Florence, Alabama at the age of 87 Years, 6 Months, 18 Days.

She is survived by a brother, D. A. Johnson Jr. of Section, AL and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by brothers, Ellis, Doyle, Ira and Grady Johnson and sisters, Reba Young and Grace Cook.

Services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tom Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Dewayne and Steve Johnson, David and Danny Montgomery, Bradley Young and Kenneth Joe Cook.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 4 pm to 9 pm and Friday, November 28, 2014 from 1 pm to service time at the funeral home.
