Margaret Bishop, 76, of Middleton, died early Friday morning, December 22, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of Wayne A. Bishop, who survives, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Bishop was born May 8, 1930 in Rienzi, Mississippi, daughter of the late William and Bessie Lowry Emerson and lived here most of her life. She graduated from Middleton High School in 1948, loved her family and enjoyed cooking. Mrs. Bishop was a former member of the Middleton Women’s Club and a member of Middleton Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, whom she married in May of 1948, survivors include one daughter, Wanda Bishop Whaley, and her husband David, of Cordova; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Wayne & Kim Bishop and Randy & Sharon Bishop, all of Middleton; three sisters, Lavern Craft of Middleton, Anita Easley of Madison, Ala. and Sandra Mathews of Bartlett; one brother, William Emerson of Florence, Ala.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Durham.
