Margaret Elizabeth Ballard, 82, of Rogers Springs, died Friday,
January 28, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of Wade Ballard, who survives, she retired as a psychiatric aide at Western State Mental Health Institute. Mrs. Ballard was born August 19, 1922in Miss., daughter of the late Roy and Kate Doughty Wells. She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary and was a member of Rogers Springs Church of Christ.
Services were 11 am Monday, January 31 at Shackelford's
Middleton chapel with Bill Craft and Bill Johnson officating.
Burial was in Rogers Springs Cemetery.
In addition to her husband, whom she married July 24, 1971,
survivors include two sons, David Craft of Middleton and Bill Craft
of Bolivar; one sister, Pearl Buvka of Middleton; one brother, Billy
Hugh Wells of Lakeland, Fla.; one step-daughter, Wadene Jones
and one step-son, Oscar Ballard, both of Des Moines, Iowa; six
grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband,
John T. Craft, who died in March of 1967.
