Margaret Alexander
was born in Henderson County, Tennessee on February 17, 1951 the daughter of Nada Vandyke Ross Pitts and the late Max Ray Pitts.
On December 21, 1965 she was united in marriage to Jerry Alexander, who survives.
Mrs. Alexander lived in Sardis, Tennessee all her life, and had worked as a truck driver for French Trucking for 9 years and Ward Grain for 12 years. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dogs. She enjoyed reading, working in her flower garden and going to the auction every Friday night.
Mrs. Alexander departed this life on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the age of 57 years, 7 months, 28 days.
In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Alexander is survived by a son: David Alexander and his wife Debbie of Scotts Hill, Tennessee; 2 daughters: Dana Smith of Lexington, Tennessee and Melanie Davis of Jackson, Tennessee; a brother: Max Ray Pitts, Jr. of Atoka, Tennessee; 2 sisters: Marilyn Jobe of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Teresa Beecham of Sardis, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren: Justin Smith, Cassie Winters, Mallory Smith, Samantha Cruse, Logan Hill, Ashley Alexander, Felicia Reeves, and Robin Alexander; 5 great-grandchildren: Jenna Winters, Carson Winters, Haylie Reeves, Lane Cruse, and Alexis Cruse.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by a brother: Max Harvey Pitts.
