Mr. Baugus was retired and had worked at Brown Shoe Company, as a sawmill laborer and as a farmer.
He departed this life on February 11, 2006 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah at the age of 67 years, 7 months and 2 days.
Mr. Baugus is survived by his children: Annie Sue Whitman of Selmer, Tennessee

John Michael Baugus of Savannah
and an adopted son, Calab Baugus, also of Savannah;
a sister, Mary Horton of Middleton, Tennessee
and two brothers: Mervin Baugus and Leon Baugus, both of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Baugus and a brother, Melvin “Top Water†Baugus.
