Manley E. Overton

Mr. Manley E. Overton of Bolivar departed this life at the age of 77 Tuesdsay, November 27, 2012 at Bolivar General Hospital.
Mr. Overton was born in Mercer, Tennessee June 23, 1935 to the late William Manley and Addie Florence Mullens Overton and lived most all of his life in Hardeman County around Cloverport. He was united in marriage to his wife, Faye, who survives, March 1, 1958 and worked as a farmer and sawmiller for over 30 years. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed gardening, growing tomatoes and spending time with his family. He was Baptist in faith.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by a daughter, Sandra G. Richie; two sons, Rickey Overton and Greg Overton; a sister, Lou Nell Cupples; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of Bolivar.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Siler, Jim, Leroy and Nathan Overton; three sisters, Anna Cruse Robinson, Sally Maude Overton and Frances King; and a grandson, Christopher Richie.
