Mamie Poole Moody

Mrs. Moody passed away Monday morning, March 31, 2008, at NHC Healthcare in Somerville,
A native of Hardeman County, she was a factory worker and farmer. She was born to Jim B. and Nettie Daniels Poole, both of whom preceded her in death, and moved to Oakland in 1966 and to Somerville in 1988. She was a volunteer foster grandparent with the Arlington Developmental Center for over 15 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Oakland.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Culver of Somerville; five sons, John D. White of McMinnville, Robert White of Pembroke, NC, Austin White of Nesbit, MS, Jerry White of Bartlett and David Moody of Chatsworth, GA; 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jewell Bo Poole, a sister, Birdie Young and a grandson, Steven White.
