Malcolm William Carroll

Malcolm William Carroll was born November 19, 1927 in Clifton, Tennessee, the son of the late William Roosevelt and Tennie Caroline Warren Carroll. He was united in marriage to Girdie Kathleen Morrow on January 19, 1951.



Mr. Carroll was a retired factory worker.



He departed this life on March 2, 2009 in Lewis County, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 3 Months, 11 Days.



He is survived by his wife, Girdie Kathleen Morrow Carroll of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Betty Williams and husband, Doug of Hohenwald, TN; eight sons, Malcolm Carroll Jr. and wife, Lawanda of Savannah, TN, William Carroll and wife, Pam of Hohenwald, TN; Bobby Carroll and wife, Sarah of Waynesboro, TN, Mike Carroll and wife, Pam of Waynesboro, TN, Joe Carroll and wife, Jennifer of Waynesboro, TN, Tommy Carroll of Columbia, TN, Billy Carroll and wife, Kathy of Waynesboro, TN, Donnie Carroll and wife, Julie of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Amy Franks, Wesley Prater, Joy Peters, Keith Carroll, Nicholas Carroll, Amy Carroll, Jamie Seagraves, Lisa Carroll, Jennifer Beasley, Danny Carroll, Johathan Carroll, Ashley Carroll, Hunter Carroll; step-grandchildren, Donny and Denny Williams, Lexie Wells; eleven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ann Tubbs of Ridgely, TN, Elizabeth Suarez of Newbern, TN, Dorothy Hill of Dyersburg, TN, Reba Prince of Ridgely, TN; nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Carroll; a son, Ronnie Carroll; two brothers, Jim Carroll, Johnny Carroll; a sister, Gracie Hamilton; grandsons, Jeremy and Barry Carroll.



Services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Warren Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.



Pallbearers will be Wesley Prater, Jonathan Beasley, Keith Carroll, Nicholas Carroll, Jonathan Carroll, Danny Joe Carroll.
