Mr. Malcolm Bishop, Jr. age 76 of Bolivar, passed from this life Thursday evening, April 16, 2015 in Memphis, TN.
Mr. Bishop was born in Hardeman County, July 21, 1938 to the late Daniel Malcolm Sr. and Annie B. Henley Bishop. He served his country in the US Army and was a heavy equipment operator for Jimmy German. He loved to fish, travel, set trot lines and frequent the Tennessee River. He married Linda Sue King on December 12, 1986 who survives and attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church near Somerville.
In addition to his wife Linda, Mr. Bishop is survived by 2 sons: Barry Bishop and wife Jennifer of Selmer, and Richie Bishop of Medon; a sister, Bobbie Dorris of Hornsby; 4 brothers, Audie Dean and wife Dorothy of Fayette County, W. D. and wife Valeria of Fayette County, Edward and wife Mable of Fayette County and Morris "Scooter" Bishop and wife Ruth of Newcastle; 7 grandchildren, Christian Jones and husband Corey, Lauren Bowman, Whitney Bishop, Allen Bishop, Johnathan Crewse and wife Terecia, Michael Crewse and wife Leigh and Matthew Crewse; and by 1 great grandchild Kaitlyn Crewse.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bishop was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John Harry, Joe and Lloyd Ray Bishop.
Memorials should be made to the Mount Olive Baptist Church, 9580 Jernigan Drive, Somerville, TN 38068
