Magdaline Overton

Services for Magdaline Dugger Overton of Waynesboro will be Saturday,January 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro with Cary Crews and Herbert Brewer officiating. Interment following in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Pallbearers are Chad Beason, Bubbie Sherrill, Jeremy Pope, Jamie Jackson, Brady Jackson, and Dylan Jackson; Honorary pallbearers are Chase Jackson, Greg Smith, Christopher Pruett, Joseph Swinea, Colton Beason, and Jaxon Pope.



Mrs. Overton was born December 9, 1936 in Waynesboro, TN a daughter of the late Joe Ax and Nona Mae Brewer Dugger. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Overton was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Dugger; two sisters, Willodean Skelton and Billie Jean Dugger. She died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 24 Days. Mrs. Overton was a former nursing assistant and cook at Wayne County Nursing Home and a member of Wayne Furnace Church of Christ.



She is survived by two sons, Terry Overton and Eugene Overton;

two daughters, Sherry Overton Beason and Quinda Overton all of Waynesboro, TN; seven grandchildren, Jamie Jackson, Chad Beason, Kimberly (Sissy) Pope, Kirari Smith, Bubbie Sherrill, Lindsey Overton, and Heather Overton; eleven great grandchildren, Brady, Dylan, and Chase Jackson, Christopher Pruett, Joseph and Kaitlyn Swinea, Leah Sherrill, Tori and Colton Beason, Jaxon and Jadlyn Pope.
