MAGDALENA SOLORIO

Dyersburg, TN: Magdalena Solorio, age 63, passed away November 8, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born in San Jose, California May 19, 1960, daughter of the late Porfirio and Julia Cortez Solorio. She grew up in Monta Vista and was a 1979 graduate of Monta Vista High School. She then attended Deanza Community College and earned a A.A. degree in Auto Mechanics.

She worked for many years for Greenley Lawn Service in Monta Vista. She then worked for Loral Space Systems for several years.

Magdalena moved to Tennessee in 2021. She enjoyed sporting events and especially loved her family and spending time with them. She was a loving daughter and devoted her life to caring for her parents.

She is survived by seven brothers, Robert Solorio (Diane) of Ione, CA, Auturo Solorio (Keri) of Pinson, TN, Sergio Solorio (Gloria) of Newbern, TN, Ismael Solorio (Lavern) of Littleton, CO, Jose Solorio of Henderson, TN, Mario Solorio (Colleen) of Reagan, TN, and Ruben Solorio (Santos) of Jacks Creek, TN; two sisters, Rachel Arcieniega of Milpitas, CA and Lilia DeAntoni (John) of Hayward, CA; goddaughters, Desiray Garcia of San Jose, CA, Raquel Dominguez and Shana'e Solorio of San Jose, CA; a nephew, Lucas Solorio of Pinson, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jessie Roybal and Grace Gignac.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday November 15, 2023, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Ruben Solorio officiating.

The family will receive friends at East Main from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM service time Wednesday.
