She was born and reared in Chester County, Mifflin and Friendship Communities, the daughter of the late N.B. and Vassie Davis Smith. She attended school in Mifflin and was married to W.C. Blackstock in 1950.
She is survived by her husband W.C. Blackstock; a son Phillip Blackstock of Lyles, TN and a daughter Thelma Hughes of Lexington, TN; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers Jerry Smith of Milan and Johnny Smith of Henderson and three sisters Mildred Surratt of AR, Osa Lee Taylor of Henderson and Shirley Tally of Henderson.
