Mae Sanders was born May 9, 1923 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late William (Bill) and Jessie Umfress Ellis.
She was united in marriage to Wilbert Estel (Rabbit) Sanders who preceded her in death on February 22, 1997.
Mrs. Sanders retired after 32 years of service as an inspector for Brown Shoe Company in Selmer, Tennessee and was Pentecostal in faith.
She is departed this life on September 20, 2006 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 4 Months, 11 Days. Mrs. Sanders is survived by three daughters, Gayle Gray and husband Larry of Selmer, Tennessee, Patsy McManus and husband Steve of Corinth, Mississippi, Carol Robinson and husband Gary of Selmer; fours sisters, Frieda Holland of Crawfordsville, Indiana, June Hill of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Jewell Coker of Selmer, Tennessee, Martha Whitehurst of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Gary Bizzell, Eddie Robinson, Tracy Thomas, Stacy Donahoe, and Ashley Gray and nine great grandchildren, Tucker Robinson, Houston Robinson, Payden Donahoe, Chaseton Donahoe, Mikaylin (Mary) Donahoe, Gracen Donahoe, Hannah Thomas, Sarah Thomas, and Noah Thomas.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by five brothers, Jack Ellis, Orlando Ellis, Earl Ellis, J.P. Ellis, and Allen Ellis.
