Mae Bell Smith

Henderson, TN: Mae Bell Wheatley Smith, age 90 passed away December 4, 2010 at the Chester County Healthcare. She was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of the late Carl Ozier and Rosa Bell Preslar Wheatley. She attended schools in Chester County. She was married to Samuel Manson Smith of the Cabo Community in 1941. They made their home in and around Henderson all their married life where Mr. Smith farmed. Mrs. Smith was employed by Salant and Salant Mfg. for 23 years before retiring in 1974. She is survived by a son, Michael A. Smith of Henderson; two grandchildren, Darren Smith and Samuel Smith; five great grandchildren, Chase Smith, Cason Smith, Dakota Huggins, Daisey Smith and Eli Smith and a sister, Edith Clayton of Henderson.She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Manson Smith in 1977 and a sister, Helen Russell.
