Mrs. Madge Shearon, the wife of Jewell Shearon, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday evening.
She was born the daughter of the late Albert Baxter and Mary Ethel Derryberry Bass and lived all her life in Hardeman County. She married Mr. Shearon on August 12, 1951 in Corinth, MS and retired from Harmon Automotive. Mrs. Shearon was member of the Porter's Creek Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Shearon (6/30/1961); a granddaughter, Lori Shearon Hughes (3/17/1996); and two brothers, Vernon Bass of Jackson, TN and Leonard "Buster" Bass of Memphis.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her daughter, Debbie Shearon Stewart of Pocahontas; two sons, Jackie (Marion) Shearon of Middleton and Chris Shearon of Hornsby; two sisters, Evelyn "Bo" Briggs and Beatrice Harris, both of Middleton; four grandchildren, C. J. (Jennie) Hightower and Randi Shearon (Alan) Winstead, all of Dyersburg, Krissie (Shawn) Grantham of Middleton and Mandy Hall of New Albany, MS; nine great-grandchildren, Evan Hughes of Walnut, MS, Steele Arnold, Reid and Maggie Winstead, Ellie Mae and Garrett Hightower, all of Dyersburg, Coden Grantham of Middleton, and Landon and Larson Hall, both of New Albany, MS.
