Mable Jewel Phillips

Mable Jewel Phillipswas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 14, 1931 the daughter of the late William Walter Hamilton and Pauline Crawford Hamilton.On September 12, 1953 she was united in marriage to William Egbert Phillips, who preceded her in death on August 10, 1995. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. She had lived in the Childers Hill Community all of her life. Mrs. Phillips enjoyed fishing, caring for her family and visiting with family and friends. She departed this life on May 31, 2007 at her residence in Counce, Tennessee at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 17 days.Mrs. Phillips is survived by a daughter, Wanda Lou Phillips Stricklin of Counce, Tennessee; two sons: David Eugene Phillips and James Lenard Phillips, both of Counce, Tennessee; two grandchildren: Jennifer Phillips Driskell and Jessica Leigh Glidewell;two great-grandchildren: Jacob Nathaniel Driskell and Madison Kate Driskell,one sister, Lewell Dean Lott of Adamsville, Tennessee and one brother, R.C. Hamilton of Blytheville, Arkansas.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maryjane Spensce and two brothers: Talmage and Robert Hamilton.
