Mable Marie (Candy) McCain
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 4, 1949 the daughter of the late Jessie James McCain and Bessie Brown McCain Welker.
In 1985 she was united in marriage to William Terry, who preceded his wife in death on December 15, 2005.
Mable owned and operated a landscaping business with her daughter-in-law for five years. She loved her flowers and sharing cuttings of flowers with others. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and yard work. Mable attended Lake View Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee.
She departed this life on Monday, June 26, 2023 in Counce, Tennessee at the age of 74 years, 1 month, and 22 days.
Mable is survived by her son, Charlie Ray Dimmick and his wife Kimberly of Counce, Tennessee; grandchildren, David Bates, II and his wife Tammy, Allen Bates, Tyler Dimmick and his wife Hannah, Nikole Dimmick, Lane Dimmick, and Kaya Dimmick; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Bates, Xander Dimmick, Phoenix Dimmick, and Beau Dimmick; brother, Coolidge (Pete) McCain and his wife Lois of Florence, Alabama; sisters, Sharon Ness of Counce, Tennessee, Juywonia Kennedy of Pensacola, Florida, and Regina Robertson and her husband Perry of Woodlawn, Tennessee; nephews, Stephen McCain and his wife Felicia of Florence, Alabama, Terry Ness and his wife Allison of East View, Tennessee, Jared Watson and his wife Kelly of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Tim Waddell of Counce, Tennessee; nieces, Jessica Harris and her husband Daniel of Pensacola, Florida, Amanda Bianchi and her husband Joel of Pensacola, Florida,Victoria Simmons of Pensacola, Florida and Janae Johnson and her husband Anthony of Clarksville, Tennessee; and great nephews and great nieces, Ryan McCain and Lilly McCain, both of Florence, Alabama, Conner Ness and Olen Ness, both of East View, Tennessee, Kaylee Harris, Aiden Harris, Elijah Bianchi, and Brenden Bianchi, all of Pensacola, Florida, Kali Parker, Kaidence Parker, Carlos Watson, Rylee Johnson, Asher Johnson, Lyla Johnson, all of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Julie Waddell of Counce, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step father, James Welker; sons, David Dudley Bates and Phillip Lee Dimmick; brother, Albert Lee McCain; and grandparents, J. A. and Minnie McCain and Arthur Lee and Eva Staples Brown.
