Mabel Holt Reaves

Mabel Holt Reaves, age 89, of Florence, Ala. died on Monday, September 12, 2005 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home, Florence, Ala. She was born in Wayne County, TN; on September 29, 1915 to the late Joe and Sarah Hanback Holt. Mrs. Reaves was preceded in death by her husband; Willard Reaves; sons; Willard Avery Reaves and Cleatus Ray Reaves, Sr. brothers; Ellis Holt and Richard Holt; sisters; Annie Holt Wallace, Myrtle Holt Franks and Betty Holt Frazier.



Mrs. Mabel was a retired lunchroom worker with Cloverdale County School System and a member of Cloverdale Methodist Church. She had a love for gardening and cooking. Mrs. Mabel took great pride in the flowers she grew and the many fried pies she cooked for her family and friends.
