Funeral Services for Mabel McAdams Morgan will be at 2:00 PM, from Chapel of Leon Johnson Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Mischke officiating with burial to follow at Unity Cemetery near Jacks Creek.
She was born in Henderson County, December 20, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Harve L. McAdams and Willie Pearl McCall. She moved to Jacks Creek in Chester County at the age of five.
She graduated from Chester County High School in 1937 and later Freed Hardeman High School in 1940. She received her B.A. Degree from Union University and did graduate work at Memphis State University.
She married Hubert ‘H.S.’ Morgan, September 10, 1988. She was employed by the Chester County Board of Education as a teacher for forty two years. She taught at Jacks Creek, Enville, Hickory Corner, Georgia Robertson Christian School and East Chester Elementary. She retired in 1982.
She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Chester County Retired Teachers Association, VFW Post 4844, American Legion Auxillary, First United Methodist Church and Crusaders Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband H.S. Morgan in 1998, a brother Carl McAdams (Pearl), and a great nephew Chris Wolfe of Milan.
Survivors are a brother Gerald McAdams (Geraldine), a niece Margaret McAdams Wolfe of Milan and a great nephew Tony Wolfe (Julia) of Murfreesboro, TN.
Memorial may be directed to Christian Life Center or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
