Mabel McClain

Mabel Kiser McClain was born February 27, 1928 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Early (E.P.) and Ocie Sweat Kiser.



She was united in marriage to J.R. McClain on October 16, 1982. Mr. McClain preceded her in death.



Mrs. McClain retired from Farber Bros manufacturing. She was a member of the Pleasant Site Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, baking pies and canning.



Mrs. McClain departed this life on February 6, 2013 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 11 Months, 10 Days. She is survived by three daughters, Jan Cooper and companion Larry Bercini of Savannah, TN, Joan Johnson of Selmer, TN, Betty McClain of Selmer, TN; a son, Rickey McClain of Selmer, TN; four sisters, Wilma Dunaway of Selmer, TN, Syble Pearson of Corinth, MS, Kaye Tacker and husband David of Selmer, TN, Shirley Moore of Selmer, TN; a brother, Larry Kiser and wife Kathleen of Selmer, TN; six grandchildren, Kevin Sowell and wife Angie of Selmer, TN, Christie Johnson of Selmer, TN, Alan Sowell of Selmer, TN, Andy Cooper and wife Michelle of Ramer, TN, Adam Cooper and wife Brooke of Selmer, TN, Cory Cooper of Selmer, TN; eight great grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McClain was preceded in death by three sisters, Nellie Wolfe, Virginia Barnes, Dorothy King; two brothers, Roy and John Kiser.
