Funeral services for Lorene Newborn Ayers, age 73, of Nashville, TN will be on Monday, February 25, 2008, 2:00 pm Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, TN with Travis Altop, John Hodum and Bobby Carroll officiating. Interment following in Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery, Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 23, 11 am - 9 pm, Sunday, February 24, 10 am - 9 pm, Monday, February 25, 9 am - 2 pm at the funeral home.
She died on Thursday February 21, 2008 at her residence in Nashville. Mrs. Ayers was born on February 9, 1935 in Collinwood, TN to the late Elmer and Ollie Price Newborn and was the wife of the late William Howard Ayers and mother of the late Howard Eugene Ayers. She was a homemaker and member of the Ingelwood Nazarene Church.
