Mrs. Cloud was born and reared in the Finger Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Marcus Albert and Rebecca Ann Archer Wamble. She attended school at Old Friendship and graduated from Chester County High School in 1938. She was married to Clarence Cloud of Henderson in 1938. They made their home in Memphis where she was employed by the Kellogg Cereal Plant for 16 years. They moved to Piney Lake in Henderson County in 1969. Mr. Cloud is retired territory manager for Woods Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Broad Street Church of Christ in Lexington.
While in high school Mrs. Cloud was an outstanding basketball player and was selected to the girls All State Team. She enjoyed following her granddaughter Rebecca through her basketball career at Chester County High School and now at the University of Georgia.
Mrs. Cloud, being the last of eight children, is now survived by her husband of 67 years, Clarence Cloud of the Piney Lake Community, and two daughters; Becky Rowsey and husband Bob of Henderson and Brenda Dressander of Lexington. She has five grandchildren: Sherri Lynn Dressander, Dana Ruff, David Dressander, Rebecca Rowsey and Ben Rowsey. She also has four great grandchildren.
