Lydia Clay Taylor was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 12, 1921 the daughter of the late James H. and Ester Mae Pitts Clay.On August 2, 1944 she was united in marriage to Lacy Taylor, who survives. Mrs. Taylor worked for Brown Shoe Company as a piece worker for thirty years. She was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ. Mrs. Taylor loved cooking, quilting and walking.She departed this life on March 6, 2007 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 22 days.Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Lacy Taylor of Savannah,Tennessee;a son, Jim Taylor of Oxford, Mississippi; one grandchild, Amanda Hill; twogreat-grandchildren: Graham Davis and Jack Hill; two brothers: James Clay of Savannah, Tennessee and Paul Clay of Wartburg, Tennessee; and three sisters: Betty Jo Duke of Senatobia, Mississippi, Shirley Jean Teroaka of Nashville, Tennessee and Patsy Seaton of Savannah, Tennessee.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers:Joe and Woodrow Clay and four sisters: Lucille Foust, Mary Eckstrand,Margaret Driver and Florence Irons.
