Luther McKeown Rogers, 101, of Middleton, died Tuesday morning, January 16, 2007 at Pine Meadows Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
The widower of Maggie Sue Patton Rogers, who died in 1997, he was a farmer and had worked for a time at Western Mental Health Institute. Mr. Rogers was born January 21, 1905 in Middleton, son of the late George Monroe Rogers and Sarah Alice McKeown Rogers. He graduated from Middleton High School, loved baseball, hunting dogs and horses and was a member of Middleton First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Rev. James L. Rogers of Fayetteville; one sister, Mary Statler of Memphis; granddaughter, Kristina Rogers Skeeters of Nashville; two great grandsons, Mason and Ryan Skeeters and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Sadie Brint, Mary Elizabeth Simpson, Jimmie Kilkrease, Estelle McCoy and three brothers, George, Holmes and Reese Jennings Rogers.
