Lurline Polk

Mrs. Lurlene Polk, age 99 of Whiteville, Tennessee, passed from this life Sunday evening, September 8, 2013 at Methodist LeBonheur - Germantown.

Mrs. Polk was born in Madison County, Tennessee June 28, 1914 to the late Charles Jefferson and Mary Lee Wilson Tims. Having lived most of her life in Hardeman County, she worked for Western Mental Health Institute for over 20 years and was a member of Whiteville First Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and the Toone Senior Citizens Center. Her husband of over 30 years, William "Bill" Edwin Polk, preceded her in death October 26, 1967.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Gallian of Whiteville; granddaughter, Sharon Perdue and husband David of Cordova; grandson, Brad Gallian of Whiteville; and great-grandchildren, Sarah Perdue and David Perdue III.
