Lula Burkhead

She was born and reared in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Charlie and Daisy Morton Waldrop. She was married to John Andrew Burkhead in 1931. They made their home in the Hickory Corner Community, where they farmed and raised their family. Mr. Burkhead died in 1967. She made her home in the Montezuma Community. She loved to have a garden and flowers. She was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church.



She is survived by four sons John F. (Buck) Burkhead, L.W. (Dub) Burkhead, Tony Burkhead and Kenneth Burkhead all of Henderson; two daughters Bonnie Davis of Montezuma and Alice Faye Miller of Henderson; 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
