Lula Mae Bass Vickers

Lula Mae Bass Vickers, age 88 of Middleton, passed from this life Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.She was born July 21, 1920 in Walnut, MS to the late Robert M. and Clara M. Seawright Brown. She lived most of her life here and was a member of Porter's Creek Baptist Church. She was married to William Dell Bass, who died March 11, 1978, and later to Ira R. Vickers, who died June 6, 2006.Survivors include a daughter, Gladys Bass Bryant and her husband Randall of Middleton; two brothers, Harold Brown of Nashville and Clifton Brown of Saulsbury; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Carolyn Yearwood of Middleton, Ruth Ann Cox of Selmer, and Helen Woods of Middleton; two stepsons, Curtis Vickers and Buddy Vickers, both of Middleton; 12 step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dale Bass and a brother, Edward Brown.
