Lula Bessie Saxton Barr was born August 8, 1929 in Pinson, TN the daughter of the late James Berry Saxton and Graple Lee Hurst.
She was united in marriage to Donald Barr on June 5, 1972. This past June they celebrated forty years of marriage.
Mrs. Barr was a office manager for Thompson Electronics, where she worked for ten years and also worked as a waitress prior to retirement. Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening, tending flowers, making dolls and doll clothing.Mrs. Barr departed this life on November 13, 2012 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 83 Years, 3 Months, 5 Days. She is survived by her husband Donald Barr of Adamsville, TN; three daughters, Donna Bailey and husband Jeff of Hempstead, TX, Teresa Curry and husband David of Brookshire, TX, Amy Nunnally and husband Lance of Arlington, TX; five grandchildren, Shelby Bailey, Morgan Bailey, Travis Curry, Nicholas Nunnally, Rachael Nunnally, and one brother-in-law, Ted Barr and wife Donna of Grand Bury, TX. and a host of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Mrs Barr was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie McNeil, Evelynne Hearn; ten brothers, Forrest Saxton, Roy Saxton, Marshall Saxton, Clint Saxton, Grady Saxton, James Saxton, C.L. Saxton, George Saxton, Jesse Lee Saxton, and one infant brother.
