Lucille Stephens Robinson was born in Fentress County, Tennessee on February 7, 1936, the daughter of the late Rev. Frank Ealis Stephens and Ora Mae Richards Stephens.
On July 7, 1952, she was united in marriage to John Paul Robinson, who preceded his wife in death on April 2, 2000.
Mrs. Robinson moved to Hardin County in 1949, where she enjoyed playing basketball for Walker Elementary School. She worked for many years at Angelica Manufacturing as a seamstress. She was a member of Barnhill Methodist Church.
Mrs. Robinson enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, cooking, and reading her Bible. She loved gospel music and always enjoyed praying for anyone in need.
Lucille Stephens Robinson departed this life on September 8, 2021 at St. Thomas - Midtown in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 1 day.
She is survived by two sons, David (Cathy) Robinson and Johnny (Ann) Robinson, both of Savannah, Tennessee; two daughters, Paula Robinson Wilhite (Joe) and Jennifer Robinson, both of Savannah, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Polk of Savannah, Tennessee; two sisters in law, Anita Robinson White of Castalian Springs, Tennessee and Jessie Stephens of Adamsville, Tennessee; and two brothers in law, Elton Alexander and Jimmy Ray Alexander, both of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis Stephens and Bruce Stephens; three sisters, Doris Whited, Donnie Alexander, and Lois Alexander; one infant brother; and one infant sister.
