LUCILLE MANESS

Pinson, TN: Mrs. Lucille Maness, age 91, passed away Monday evening at Henderson Health and Rehab Center.

She was born in Pinson, TN February 9, 1930 daughter of the late Jesse Browlow and Mable Louise Burney Rinks. She grew up in Chester County.

She married George Sikes at age 16 and they had two children.

She later married Thomas Maness and they had five children together. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, singing and being “on the go.” She loved church and made sure her children attended.
She was blessed with a large family and loved every one of them.

She is survived by five sons, Devone Sikes of Jackson, Luke Maness (Jessi) of White Creek, TN, Ronald Maness (Donna) of Henderson, Ricky Maness of Jackson, and Roger Maness of Finger; ten daughters, Ginger Elder (Ricky) of Lexington, Lisa Maness of Henderson, Tomesa Rogers (Wesley) of Lexington, Judy Heddings (Cliff) of Indianapolis, IN, Irene Rinks of Henderson, Lorene Smith (James) of Henderson, Linda Johnson (Danny) of Sardis, Kay Maness of Lexington, Nancy Robertson (Ricky) of Hookers Bend, TN, and Treva Gitchell (Barry) of Henderson; a brother, Neal Ricks (Pat) of Henderson; a sister, Dorothy Hilliard Tommy of Jackson; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kenneth Wayne Sikes and Daniel Maness; two daughters Patsy Taylor and Sue Roberts; four brothers, DeWayne Rinks, Junior Rinks, Henry Rinks, and Larry Rinks; and sister, Faye Flatt.

Funeral services will be at Shackelford Funeral Directors East Main Chapel Friday November 12th at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Sanford Rogers Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday November 11th.
