Lucille Ferrell Hunt departed this life on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the age of 89 years and 1 day. She was born on February 8, 1927 in Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Oscar Luther and Mary Hollinsworth Ferrell. On June 16, 1945, she was united in marriage to Raymond Henry Hunt, who preceded her in death on April 18, 1998.
Mrs. Hunt was a retired machine operator for Garan Manufacturing. She also had worked for Angelica and had worked in Ridgely, Tennessee. Mrs. Hunt enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing and cooking. She was a member of Christian Assembly Pentecostal Church.
Mrs. Hunt is survived by her children, Barbara Hunt of Savannah, Tennessee, Bobby W. Hunt of Sharon, Tennessee, Mary Lou Floyd of Jackson, Tennessee, Billy Hunt of South Carolina and Paul Hunt of Union City, Tennessee.
19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Raymond Hunt, Jr., one brother, Frank Ferrell and five sisters, Maudie Bowling, Edna Lee Thompson, Jo Kate Overton, Ruby Gray and Lillie Mae Robbins.
