LUCILLE HIGHLANDwas born in Lauderdale County, Alabama on August 18, 1928 the daughter of the late William Wesley and Mary Maggie Dailey Lard.She was united in marriage to Herbert Ruben Highland, who preceded his wife in death on March 24, 1998.Mrs Highland was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, gardening and music. She departed this life on January 28, 2008 at the Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 10 days.Mrs. Highland is survived by one daughter, Ruby Price of Waterloo, Alabama.6 grandchildren, Michael Price, Brad Price, Stacy Price, J. R. Highland, Starla Goodman and Jason Highland.2 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Price and Kristen Goodmanone sister, Betty Tilley of Savannah, Tennessee2 brothers, Charles Lard and Hollis Lard, both of Waterloo, AlabamaMrs. Highland was also preceded in death by one daughter, Hazel Mae Highland, one son, Ruben Highland, Jr., one sister, Pauline Stults and 6 brothers, Rubin, James, Ollie, Milford, Howard and John D. Lard.
