Lucile Alexander Armstrongwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 23, 1913 the daughter of the late F.J. (Bud) and Mary Luticia Alexander. On February 18, 1933 she was united in marriage to Sam H. Armstrong, who preceded her in death on July 14, 1992.Mrs. Armstrong was a homemaker and also worked as a cook at Central High School.She departed this life on April 19, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 27 days. Mrs. Armstrong is survived by four sons: Edmund Joe Armstrong of Panama City, Florida, Sam H. Armstrong, Jr., Ronnie Armstrong and Bob Armstrong, all of Savannah, Tennessee;8 grandchildren: Eddie Armstrong, Lisa A. Bevis, Dr. Lane Armstrong, Mike Armstrong, Rhonda A. Lackey, Tina A. Snelling, Luke Armstrong and Zack Armstrong;17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild;and one brother, G. C. Alexander of Fairhope, Alabama.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Debra Armstrong Whitcomb; 2 sisters: Beulah Alexander Sanders and Lula Alexander Arnold and 5 brothers: William, Powell, John, Paul and Lewis Alexander.
