Loyd "Buck" Green, 44, of Pocahontas, died Sunday evening,
March 6, 2005 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Connie Green, who survives, he had worked at
Cornelius Mill and Lumber Company in Middleton prior to
working at Yopp's Convenience Store for the past three years. Mr.
Green was born May 30, 1960 in Memphis, son of the late Loyd
Clifton Green and Martha Marie Jacobs Green. He lived in Memphis prior to moving to Pocahontas in the late 1980's and was
an avid fisherman.
Services were 2:30 PM Wednesday March 9 at Shackelford's
chapel in Middleton with Craig Shackleford officiating. Burial was
in Middleton City Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, whom he married July 26, 1991, survivors
include two sons, Loyd Clifton Green, III of Calif. and Howard
Joseph Horn of Pocahontas; one sister, Martha Edwards of Calif.;
two brothers, Larry Green of Huntingdon and Bobby Green of
Selmer; six aunts, Grace Robinson of Pocahontas, Mary Pickard of
Memphis, Virginia Miller of Searcy, Ark., Dorothy McCullem of
Selmer, Bonnie Veech of Pocahontas and Connie Cornelius of
Springfield; one uncle, Henry E. Jacobs of Finger; one niece and
twelve nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris
Moore.
