Loyd Taylor Galigher
June 13, 1929 — January 15, 2006
He was born in Middleton, TN, son of the late John Edgar and Cathrine Bell Wood Galigher. He attended school in Middleton and farmed as a young man. He entered the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Hazel Melton of Henderson in 1954. They made their home in Jackson. He worked for the Madison County Highway Dept. for 20 years and retired in 1999. He sharpened saw blades for the sawmill in the area. he loved rabbit hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Hazel Melton Galigher of Medon and a sister Opal Spellings (Thad) of Greenwood, MS.
