Mrs. Allen passed away Tuesday morning at Pleasant View Health Care in Bolivar.



The widow of M.A. Allen, who passed away September 24, 1970, she was a waitress at The Junction Inn Restaurant in Grand Junction. A native of Benton County, MS, she was born to the late Ellis Hopkins and Bessie Ellis Hopkins and lived all of her life in Saulsbury. Mrs. Allen was a member of Marlow Church of Christ near Walnut, MS and enjoyed gardening.



She is survived by a son and his wife, Mike Allen and Margaret of Elizabethtown, KY; a daughter and her husband, Judy Baker and Billy of Bolivar; a special nephew, Chuck Hopkins; a sister, Edna Melton of Faulkner, MS; a brother, Jack Hopkins of Saulsbury; five grandchildren, Mark Baker and wife Mandy, Stacy Smith, Amanda Daughtery, Michelle Harris and Miranda Snellen; and eight great grandchildren, Jordan Baker, Sophia Smith, Mitchell Smith, Joseph Harris, Jenna Harris, Britney Daughtery, Alyssa Snellen and Jonathan Snellen.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ola McKee, Verna Street and Earline Hopkins; and a brother, Lester Hopkins.
