Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 2, 1926 the daughter of the late George H. (Boss) and Mary Magdalene Stennett Jarrett.
On April 10, 1943 she was united in marriage to Gordon Smith, who preceded his wife in death on October 1, 1986.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She was a member of Adamsville First Baptist Church and a member of the Adamsville Eastern Star.
She departed this life on May 30, 2006 at the McKenzie Healthcare Center in McKenzie, Tennessee at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 28 days.
Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter, Janice Smith Moore and her husband, Johnnie of Camden, Tennessee.
2 grandchildren, Sandra Daugherty of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Brandon Moore of Camden, Tennessee.
2 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Daugherty and Jasmine Daugherty.
2 sisters, Georgia Love of Columbia, Tennessee and Barbara Jarrett of Adamsville, Tennessee.
