Mrs. Nuckolls passed away Tuesday morning, November 30, 2010 at NHC of Chattanooga.
The widow of Lucius Franklin Nuckolls, who died November 23, 1967, she retired as a nurse's assistant. Mrs. Nuckolls was born June 3, 1915 in Toone to the late Jesse Thomas McClendon and Nina Jones McClendon and lived in Chattanooga since about 1944. Her family states she loved her family and pets and had a passion for life, travel, dancing and driving.
She is survived by a brother-in-law and his wife, Odell Leinart and Marie of Chattanooga; two sisters-in-law, Vonzille McClendon and Helen McClendon; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth M. Leinart; and four brothers, James, J.T., Fred and Billy McClendon. Thanks to her neighbors and friends, and two very special friends, Ruby Green and Peggy Lock.
