Jackson, TN: Rebecca Louise Brown Meadows, age 93 passed away Sunday August 14, 2016 at Maplewood Healthcare in Jackson.
She was born December 29, 1922 in Luray, TN, the daughter of the late William Thomas and Bessie Alice Vestal Brown. She attended schools at Luray and married John Harold Meadows in 1947. They made their home in Jackson. Mr. Meadows preceded in death, December 31, 1979. She continued to make her home in Jackson. She was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church.
Mrs. Meadows is survived by three sons, William Meadows and wife Joy of Pinson, Bobby Meadows and wife Joyce of Jackson and Larry Meadows of Jackson; two grandchildren, Kasey Meadows Cioccia and Kevin Meadows; two great grandchildren, Mason and Miles Cioccia and one brother, Harry Brown of Jacksboro, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, W.T. Brown and one sister, Betty Russell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Roy Sharp and Kevin Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday.
