Louise Kirk Ledford

Louise Ledford, age 90, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 1:01 p.m. in Manor at Mason Woods, Pinckneyville, IL surrounded by her loving family.



Louise was born on October 2, 1922 in Middleton, TN, a daughter to Jessie and Ora (Galloway) Kirk. On November 8, 1940, she married Clifford Ledford in Hardeman County, TN and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1981. Louise was member of the United Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting and loved gardening, yard work and caring for her family.



Survivors include one son, Jerry (Damen) Ledford of Mt. Airy, GA; two daughters, Jeanette (Bill) Hoffman and Diane (Frank) Stein, all of Pinckneyville, IL; six brothers, Roy Kirk of Pocahontas, TN, C.W. (Tommie Sue) Kirk of Middleton, TN, Wilbert (Velma) Kirk of Memphis, TN, Leon (Lottie) Kirk of Memphis, TN, Frank Kirk of Pocahontas, TN and James (Linda) Kirk of Middleton, TN; one sister, Bernice Bass of Middleton, TN; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one great-grandson and one son-in-law, Leslie E. Pulke.



Funeral services will be held at Shackelford Funeral Home, Middleton, TN on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Dwayne Kirk officiating. Interment will be Reaves Cemetery, Middleton, TN



Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at Shackelford Funeral Home, Middleton, TN on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
