Louise Sharp Hughes



was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on July 30, 1925 the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Martha Jane Hollin Sharp.



On September 2, 1944, she was united in marriage to Carlos Clinton Hughes, who preceded her in death on February 7, 1971.



Mrs. Hughes retired from her job as a daycare worker. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.



She departed this life on December 6, 2006 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 6 days.



Mrs. Hughes is survived by 2 sons: Carl Hughes and his wife, Sharon, of Lexington, Tennessee and Mike Hughes and his wife, Midge, of Savannah, Tennessee;

2 daughters: Carol White and her husband, Larry, of Selmer, Tennessee and

Janice Greene Walters and her husband, Chuck, of Gulfport, Mississippi;

13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.



In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane Hughes; one grandchild, Tanya Lynn Hughes; 5 sisters: Bessie Rogers, Lessie Green, Fannie Poindexter, Guila Turner, and Edith Flatt; and 3 brothers:

Grover Sharp, Sherman Sharp and Jewell Sharp.
