Louise Dixon

The widow of the late H.A. Dixon and former "First Lady" of Freed Hardeman College (University): 1950-1969. Her Husband served as President of the University until his death. She was instrumental, along with others, in founding the FHU Associates. She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree by Freed-Hardeman University in May of 1990. She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ for 50 years, and more rescently a member of the North Jaclson Church of Christ. She celebrated her 100th birthday at a reception in Henderson in May of this year.
