Louis G. Ankromwas born in Decatur, Illinois on November 22, 1943 the son of the late Ralph and Allie Irene Griswald Ankrom.On September 4, 1993 he was united in marriage to Carla Summers, who survives.Mr. Ankrom lived most of his life in the Argenta, Illinois area and 14 years in Hardin County, Tennessee. He was a farmer and drove truck for ACT out of Kansas City, Missouri. He was also employed with the City of Selmer and CCA in Whiteville, Tennessee. Mr. Ankrom enjoyed cooking, farming, and trucking. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He believed in helping others. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Illinois and was of Baptist belief.Mr. Ankrom departed this life on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the age of 65 years, 1 month, 10 days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Ankrom is survived by 2 sons: Kip Ankrom of Decatur, Illinois and Carl Summers; a daughter: Sandra Ankrom Bolvanz of Decatur, Illinois; a brother: Charles Ankrom of LaPlace, Illinois; 4 grandchildren: Casey Johnson and 3 Bolvanz grandchildren; a great-grandchild: Cameron Johnson.In addition to his parents, Mr. Ankrom was preceded in death by a daughter: Jennifer Linn Johnson; a sister; 2 brothers.
