Lou Ella Dukes, 92, of Pocahontas, died Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the McNairy County Health Care Center.
The widow of Charles L. Dukes, who died July 11, 1976, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Dukes was born May 20, 1913 in Pocahontas, daughter of the late William J. and Annie Crum Rolison and lived all her life in the Pocahontas area. She was a member of Essary Springs Baptist Church.
Services were 2:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2005 at Essary Springs Baptist Church with Dennis Callahan and Keith Driscoll officiating. Burial was in Campground Cemetery near Walnut, Miss. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrrangements.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and one step-grandson, Vernon Forshea. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Mae Wilbanks and three brothers, Charles Perry Rolison, John Rolison and S. D. Rolison.
